Suplementación de bovinos lecheros con ácidos grasos omega sobre la función reproductiva y productiva

Resumen

La producción de leche bovina es considerada como una actividad insostenible, donde el aumento en la producción se asocia con una reducción en la eficiencia reproductiva. El objetivo fue determinar el efecto de la suplementación con ácidos grasos omega-3, omega-6 y omega-9 (SAGO3,6y9) sobre variables reproductivas y productivas. Para lo cual, sesenta vacas lecheras multíparas de un sistema de producción intensivo fueron divididas en un grupo control (n=30) que recibió una ración totalmente mezclada (RTM) y un grupo tratado (n=30) que recibió una RTM más 150 g diarios de SAGO3,6y9 por 150 días. Un protocolo de inseminación artificial a tiempo fijo y ultrasonografía transrectal a los 31 días fue utilizado. El análisis estadístico incluyó un ANOVA, prueba U de Mann-Whitney y correlaciones entre las variables respuesta. Los resultados indicaron diferencias (p < 0.05) entre los grupos para las variables servicios por concepción, días abiertos y longitud del embrión. No se detectaron diferencias (p ≥ 0.05) para las variables producción de leche y diámetro del cuerpo lúteo. Así como, una correlación significativa (p < 0.05) entre las variables reproductivas consideradas, a excepción del cuerpo lúteo, la cual no se correlaciono (p ≥ 0.05) con el resto. La suplementación lipídica modifica indicadores reproductivos sin alterar el rendimiento productivo. La reducción de los días abiertos y servicios por concepción favorece la sostenibilidad del hato al disminuir gastos de producción. Por lo cual se recomienda la SAGO3,6y9 en la dieta para optimizar la fertilidad y reducir días improductivos en sistemas de lechería intensiva.
