Producción cienciométrica mundial sobre selenio, vitamina E, y resultados reproductivos en caprinos, ovinos y bovinos

Los rumiantes representan un componente fundamental para la producción animal y la seguridad alimentaria, destacan las cabras por su resiliencia en ecosistemas marginales. Factores como el calor y el estrés nutricional en zonas áridas inducen estrés oxidativo que compromete el rendimiento reproductivo como la viabilidad de los ovocitos y la implantación del embrión. El selenio(Se) y la vitamina E(VitE) emergen como componentes del sistema de defensa antioxidante. Actúa como cofactor de enzimas que neutralizan los peróxidos y la VitE optimiza la maduración folicular y el desarrollo embrionario. Alguna deficiencia de estos provoca un fallo reproductivo, desde anovulación hasta mortalidad fetal. La implementación de estrategias cienciométricas permite un análisis crítico de la evolución del conocimiento en esta área. Mediante el mapeo científico, se identificaron los principales enfoques, autores, revistas y países en este campo de estudio. Se desarrolló un estudio con base en las directrices metodológicas del modelo PRISMA, con la aplicación de un protocolo riguroso de búsqueda, selección y análisis. El análisis abarcó la producción científica(2000-2025) denotando un incremento en las publicaciones a partir de 2010, como una notable desproporción en el número de estudios centrados en otras especies ganaderas en comparación con las cabras. Este análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo identificó tendencias y deficiencias, incluyendo una menor densidad de redes de coautoría y un número limitado de publicaciones específicas sobre cabras. Actúa como una herramienta de diagnóstico esencial para orientar la financiación y el diseño de futuras investigaciones centradas en mitigar el impacto ambiental en la eficiencia reproductiva de cabras.
