Special Issue “Science and Sustainability in Agricultural Production”

CALL FOR PAPERS

 Given the importance of disseminating scientific knowledge generated in the fields of agricultural sciences, with a focus on resource conservation, responsibility, and sustainability, and given the space allocated for this purpose by the journals included in the National System of Scientific and Humanistic Publications (SNPCyH) of the Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation (SECIHTI) and in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) index, we invite you to participate in the

 Special Issue “Science and Sustainability in Agricultural Productionof the journal Ecosistemas y Recursos Agropecuarios (ERA)

to be published as part of the 38th International Week of Agronomy, organized by the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of the Juarez University of the State of Durango, in September 2026.

 

Under the following considerations:

1.    Original and unpublished scientific articles and scientific notes will be accepted on the following topics:

  • Agricultural and Animal Sciences with an Organic and Sustainable Approach
  • Conservation and Regenerative Agriculture
  • Agricultural and Animal Production and Management with Agroecological Practices
  • Analysis of Phytochemicals and Food Functionality
  • Sciences for Agricultural Production in Arid Zones

Due to the editorial policies of ERA, literature reviews will not be published in special issues.

 2.    Contributions must be written in accordance with the ERA journal's Guidelines for Authors and submitted via the journal's editorial plattform (https://era.ujat.mx/index.php/rera) in accordance with the journal's template. In addition, a letter of originality and a request for possible publication signed by the authors must be attached, specifying that the contribution is being submitted for the Special Issue “Science and Sustainability in Agricultural Production.” This must also be indicated in the “Comments for the editor” section of the journal's OJS plattform.

 3.     The editorial process will be subject to the following schedule:

  • Call for papers open: November 3, 2025
  • Submission period: From opening date until February 28, 2026
  • Peer review: January 1 to March 31, 2026
  • Response to comments: April 1 to May 30, 2026
  • Submission of final corrections: One month after notification from the journal.
  • Layout and galley proofs: June 1 to August 17, 2026
  • Release of the Special Issue: September 1, 2026

 ERA follows a continuous publication pattern, therefore, it is possible that some articles will complete the editorial process and be published before September 2026.

 4. All authors must adhere to the scheduled dates, as the special issue will be processed directly on the platform and there will be no extensions. Authors who do not comply with the above will be excluded from the special issue. Authors whose contributions are accepted with corrections but have a lengthy correction process may choose to be included in regular issues of the journal.

 5. Due to editorial policies, articles accepted for publication must cover a fee that includes layout in PDF format, XML markup, and assignment of the DOI required for publication of the journal in the various databases where it is available. This fee must be paid once the contribution is accepted. If an invoice is required, the forms and requirements will be sent along with the galley proofs. Payment is made to the Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco, through the link provided on the ERA website, and must be made by the author responsible for each article, subject to the author then requesting the invoice in the name of the institution with which they are affiliated
