Resumen

México ocupa el cuarto lugar en producción de chile (Capsicum annuum L.) en el mundo, lo cual implica que este cultivo sea de suma importancia económica para la sociedad mexicana. Sin embargo, el uso excesivo y/o desbalanceado tanto de fertilizantes químicos como plaguicidas sintéticos ha ocasionado que se degraden las propiedades de los suelos y, por ende, los rendimientos de los cultivos disminuyan. Una de las alternativas para reducir el uso de fertilizantes químicos y pesticidas es el uso de microorganismos benéficos, los cuales pueden aportar nutrientes y protección contra insectos plagas y patógenos a las plantas. Por lo anterior, el objetivo del estudio fue evaluar el efecto de Azospirillum brasilense, Bacillus subtilis y Serendipita indica, aplicados como complemento a la fertilización química bajo dos sistemas de cultivo (invernadero y campo abierto) en la calidad y rendimiento del cultivo de chile. Los estudios fueron realizados bajo un arreglo factorial con dos factores el factor fertilización química con dos niveles (70 y 100%), y el factor microorganismos con ocho niveles (sin microorganismos, Azospirillum brasilense + Bacillus subtilis + Serendipita indica, S. indica, A. brasilense, B. subtilis, A. brasilense + S. indica, B. subtilis + S. indica y B. subtilis + A. brasilense). Se hicieron mediciones de variables relacionadas con la etapa de crecimiento vegetativo y variables relacionadas con la calidad y rendimiento del cultivo durante la cosecha. La combinación de A. brasilense y S. indica tuvo un efecto positivo en el crecimiento, la calidad y el rendimiento del cultivo de chile.
